One of my favourite ones here ... nearest I've been to being done over was a roofer who did a woeful botch job on a leak - but they were cheap to be honest (no pun intended) - I got him back to rectify it and the next downpour showed he hadn't improved it much - when a decent crew did a proper job and showed me their work on the roof, it became evident how hapless the first lot were ...

When I was younger, I rented a room from an old widow whose mid-age son was institutionalised with Parkinson's.
Unfortunately, I was out when two bastards persuaded her that her favourite trees presented a danger to her house's foundations (possibly true, but there were no signs of it, only their say so), and charged her an absolute fortune to bring them down. For some reason, she had enough cash in the house to pay it.
I got a better job up North soon after, but almost every every day in my notice period she mentioned her trees.

Nope I've never been had over.
If anything is too good to be true it's a load of bollocks.If anyone knocks on my door trying it on I always tell them to fuck off.
If I need new Windows,fake grass,solar panels I'll sort it out my own way.dont knock on my fucking door looking to make a percentage out of assuming I'm a fucking mug.
I've never donated to anything other than Saint Francis Hospice.
